Bio

J.P. Poveda serves as Director of the Rolling Hills Bible Institute and Global Missions Development at Rolling Hills Covenant Church.

J.P. graduated with high honors from Biola University with a degree in Biblical Studies. He is currently a student at Talbot Theological Seminary where he is completing an M.A. in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics and an M.A. in New Testament.

In his 20′s, J.P. co-founded a software engineering firm named Taskport, where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, overseeing a staff of fifty+ engineers. He also served as Chief Technology Officer of Vintigo, a viticulture and agricultural consulting and technology company.

He has a heart for teaching, theology, philosophy and missions. He has participated in short-term mission trips to Malawi (1997, 1998, 2000), Zambia (1997, 1998, 2009), Guatemala (1999), Mozambique (2000), India (2006, 2007) and Mexico.

In addition to his role at the Rolling Hills Bible Institute, he also serves on the board of directors of the Paul Carlson Partnership, the Biola University Alumni Association, and as chiarman of the Malawi Development Project.

J.P. enjoys tinkering with technology, photography, aviation, and travel.
