Christian Ethics: Walking in the Way

Schedule

Fall 2010 Dr. Bob Cubillos Thursday 9/30 – 11/18 6:30PM – 8:20PM 293 No

Description

The course is an introductory survey of ethics from the point of view of Christian belief. As such, Christian ethics is a study—like an academic discipline. However, Christian ethics is in reality much more than this. Christian ethics is a way of life. As the author of our textbook states in his preface, “To be the people of God in the twenty-first century will require us, as it did first century believers, to be followers of ‘the Way’ (Acts 9:2). Disciples of Jesus are people of ‘the Way,’ who walk in the way of the LORD (Ps. 119:1-3)” (Trull, p. vii).

The course will provide the student a biblical and evangelical theological framework for the discipline of Christian ethics. He or she will receive the tools needed to think systematically about moral questions from the point of view of Christian belief.
